Not to brag but....

Measurable
Results
Project Sunshine’s newest program, Project Elevate, held it’s inaugural program in the summer
of 2009. Following are some of the measurable results from the 2009 Project Elevate program.

  • Initial Participation 14 of 14 completed a 5-day / 4-night intensive workshop
  • At 3 Months 14 of 14 still actively participating in program
  • 12 of 14 regularly attending monthly activities.
  • Documentation 14 of 14 have a Nevada issued valid ID (DL, Permit, or ID card)
  • 12 of 14 have their Social Security Card
  • 12 of 14 have a Birth Certificate
  • At 6 Months 12 of 14 still actively participating in the program
  • 10 of 12 regularly attended monthly skill-based activities
  • At 12 Months (12 active Young Adult participants ) 10 of 12* still actively participating in the program*with the remaining 2 selectively participating
  • 9 of 12 regularly attended monthly skill-based activities
  • STAYING CONNECTED 12 of 12 were still connected to a Life Coach in the program
  • 1 of 2 released from the program stayed connected to their Life Coach
  • 9 of 12 have an email account
  • 12 of 12 have stayed in weekly contact on Facebook
  • 12 of 12 reported achievements to Life Coach and other staff
  • 12 of 12 would reach out to various Life Coaches within Project Elevate
  • 13 of 14 original young adults participants stayed connected to one another
  • independent living 9 of the 12 are living independently
  • 3 live in group supported living
  • 7 of the 12 are enrolled in Step-Up
  • 2 of 12 are on Independent Living Contracts
  • 5 of 12 have been granted Housing Assistance vouchers (a new program for youth aging out of care)
  • independent TRANSPORTATION 5 of the 12 got their permit
  • 5 of the 12 got their driver’s license
  • 3 of the 12 have purchased their first vehicle
  • EDUCATION 5 of the 12 (applicable) graduated high school in 2009
  • 1 is still on track for graduating on time in 2011
  • 2 of the 12 entered a University
  • 9 of the 12 have entered a post high school educational program
  • 2 of the 12 are in a vocational or technical school
  • 7 of the 12 are college level
  • 1 is attending a GED class
  • THERAPEUTIC SERVICES 1 of 12 has asked for therapy
  • 1 of 12 has asked for tutoring
  • 1 of 12 has asked for psychiatric care
  • employment 8 of 12 are currently employed
  • money management 11 of 12 still have the bank account acquired during
  • the 5-day intensive workshop at commencement of program
  • 10 of 12 are actively budgeting and managing their money on their own
